A growing metal fabrication manufacturer in the Valley Park area is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily operations, drive workflow efficiency, and oversee a team producing custom‐engineered metal components. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‐paced, job‐shop environment and understands the unique demands of short‐run, custom fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day‐to‐day production across fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly
• Manage scheduling, job flow, and resource allocation to meet customer deadlines
• Coordinate closely with engineering, estimating, and project management
• Ensure quality standards, accuracy, and compliance with customer specifications
• Lead, coach, and develop production staff; maintain a positive, accountable culture
• Monitor WIP, capacity, and bottlenecks; implement process improvements
• Maintain safety standards and ensure a clean, organized shop environment
• Support quoting/estimating with production insights when needed

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or job‐shop production leadership
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes : welding, forming, cutting, machining
• Proven ability to manage high‐mix, low‐volume production
• Experience reading blueprints, shop drawings, and customer specifications
• ERP/MRP system proficiency (required)
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem‐solving skills
• Ability to balance speed, quality, and cost in a custom‐build environment

Compensation

• Competitive salary around $95,000–$110,000 , depending on experience
• Full benefits package
