Financial Analyst

Responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and data analysis Extract and validate financial data from government systems, including Ektropy, SharePoint List 365, and

Analyze data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement Provide accurate inputs for dashboard teams to generate relational view outputs in Excel, PDF, and PowerPoint Support audit readiness activities, including documentation, validation, and remediation of findings Maintain Key Supporting Documents for audit purposes Resolve unmatched transactions and validate unliquidated obligations Prepare responses to audit findings and implement corrective actions Provide recommendations for interface improvements and collaborate with dashboard teams Assist with formatting outputs and ensuring alignment with government standards Present recommendations for interface improvements to the Deputy and Chief, FMB, as required Contribute to budget tracking, expenditure analysis, and compliance reviews Develop and maintain a Quality Control program to ensure data reliability Requirements 5 years of experience with BS/BA; or 9 years of experience with a high school diploma Ability to obtain a Public Trust Must be a U.S. citizen Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages such as Tableau and Power BI Knowledge of databases such as SQL Understanding of statistics and experience using statistical packages such as Excel, SPSS, and SAS Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Six years of progressive experience in this discipline preferred Favorable Tier 1 investigation preferred Prior DoD experience preferred; Defense Health Agency or Military Health System experience a plus Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in financial reporting, data analysis, and audit readiness, with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
