Payroll Specialist

Payroll Specialist We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support payroll and benefits administration through accurate data entry, reconciliation, and record maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, data, and established processes. Key Responsibilities Process and post payroll-related benefit contributions, including health, pension, and 401(k) plans. Perform data entry, audits, reconciliations, and record maintenance to ensure accuracy. Review eligibility for health plan coverage and process premium payments. Support accident claim administration by preparing and tracking required documentation. Assist with reporting, research, and special projects using Microsoft Excel. Provide general administrative and clerical support. Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in payroll, benefits, accounting support, or an administrative role preferred. Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications. Experience with reconciliations, payment posting, or other basic accounting functions. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Work Environment Work hours are 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fargo, ND. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
