Associate Attorney

Clausen Miller P.C. is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing Texas practice. The position is open to attorneys located in Austin, San Antonio, or the surrounding communities and will focus on first-party property, professional liability, and general casualty defense. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior attorney who wants early, hands‑on litigation experience—including depositions, hearings, and direct client interaction—while working closely with experienced partners in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment. The position offers a flexible hybrid or remote work arrangement. What You’ll Do With direct partner mentorship, you will take an active role in managing cases from initial investigation through resolution or trial, including: Communicating directly with clients and developing strong professional relationships Managing written discovery and preparing strategic case analyses Drafting and arguing motions and engaging in motion practice Conducting and defending depositions Appearing in court and participating in hearings, mediations, and arbitrations Assisting with trial preparation and post-trial motions, including appeals What We’re Looking For Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Texas 1–3 years of litigation experience preferred; first-year attorneys with prior civil litigation exposure or other relevant experience will also be considered Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills Attention to detail and strong organizational ability Self-starter who thrives in an independent and flexible work environment Why Join Clausen Miller Meaningful, hands‑on litigation experience early in your career Direct access to partners and client‑facing responsibility Growing Texas practice with opportunities for advancement Flexible hybrid or remote work environment Competitive compensation and benefits package #J-18808-Ljbffr
