Subcontract Sourcing Specialist

Responsibilities Identify and screen potential subcontractors based on project scope, risk requirements, safety record, financial stability, and past performance. Maintain and update the approved subcontractor database. Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all documentation is complete and current. Draft and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs) aligned with project requirements and timelines. Collaborate with engineering, estimating, and operations teams to define scope and evaluation criteria. Collect and analyze bid submissions for completeness, competitiveness, and compliance. Perform bid leveling to ensure accurate comparison across vendors. Facilitate clarification meetings and support negotiation efforts. Conduct risk assessments including financial, operational, and contractual exposure. Recommend qualified subcontractors based on technical capability, cost, and risk profile. Document sourcing decisions and maintain audit-ready records. Handover to Operations Prepare subcontractor award packages and coordinate handoff to the operations team. Ensure all contract terms, scope, and deliverables are clearly communicated and documented. Support post-award onboarding and kickoff activities as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in solar, power generation, or construction. At least 2 years of experience negotiating and managing subcontractor contracts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Viewpoint is preferred. Strong understanding of procurement procedures, risk management, and contract law. Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel (5–10%) as required.
