Group Fitness Instructor

Position Summary Instructs group exercise class(es),taking into consideration varying abilities of the clientele while providing continual observation and direction to ensure a safe exercise area Primary Position Responsibilities Recognizes a safe environment and the safe execution of activities being performed is the priority for all members and guests. Dedication to customer service by promoting a friendly atmosphere and keeping all members engaged. Recognizes good communication and keeping all well-informed is the key to smooth operations. Recognizes consistency in programming and instructor dependability is important for member satisfaction and retention. Qualifications Minimum Education Required High School Diploma or Equivalent Certification from accredited agency for Group Exercise Instruction Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation) None Preferred 1-2 years of prior group exercise instruction experience License, Registry or Certification Required CPR/AED certification (or must be completed within 60 days of hire) Certification from accredited agency for Group Exercise Instruction Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required Good communication and interpersonal skills.
