Medical Assistant

DESCRIPTION

Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Assistant, you will support both clinical and administrative functions to ensure efficient patient care and clinic operations. Key responsibilities include:

Greeting and assisting patients in a professional manner.
Supporting direct patient care, including patient intake, medical histories, vital signs, chart preparation, and assisting with examinations.
Performing routine clinical procedures and sterile dressing changes per protocol.
Maintaining exam room cleanliness, supplies, and equipment.
Managing EMR documentation, including prior authorizations and pre-certifications for diagnostic and surgical procedures.
Scheduling patient appointments and surgical procedures, updating surgery logs, and coordinating with facilities and vendors.
Answering and directing multi-line phone calls and assisting with patient check-out and follow-up scheduling.
Participating in compliance programs (HIPAA, safety training) and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To join our team, you'll need the following qualifications:

Graduate from high school is preferred..
A minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience preferred.
Hold a current certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

1 year experience in medical assisting preferred
Current certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
