Technical Lead - Data Engineering

Position: Technical Lead – Data Engineering Duties: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes and data pipelines for enterprise-scale data warehouses. Design, develop, and optimise complex SQL queries and Unix/Linux scripts for large-scale data extraction, transformation, and loading. Integrate and consolidate data from multiple source systems, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency. Participate in on-premises and cloud data warehouse projects (Snowflake, GCP, Teradata). Review and optimise ETL workflows and data pipelines for performance and reliability. Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance in design and implementation. Establish data engineering best practices and conduct technical design reviews to improve system scalability and maintainability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions. Support production deployments and troubleshoot complex data-related issues. Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Any Branch), Information Technology, Computer Applications/Applied Computer Science or Computer/Management Information Systems plus five (5) years of experience as Software Developer, Software Engineer, Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst, or related position. Foreign educational equivalent accepted. Skills required: 1. SQL, Python, Unix Shell Scripting 4.
