Position Overview We are seeking a skilled, patient‑focused Interventional Radiology Technologist to join a dynamic imaging team. Position Details Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 07/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 40 Shift: 10 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Key Responsibilities Produce high‑quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed departmental quality standards. Utilize professional judgment and technical expertise to optimize image quality and patient outcomes. Explain procedures to patients and address questions or concerns to enhance comfort and understanding. Demonstrate proper patient positioning and imaging techniques for a variety of procedures. Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively. Utilize PACS and EPIC systems to process, store, and manage imaging studies and patient information. Apply radiation safety principles and protective measures to minimize exposure for patients and staff. Follow infection prevention and quality control protocols. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all organizational and regulatory requirements. Provide age‑appropriate care, education, and communication for patients across the lifespan. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain competency. Support and supervise students providing patient care and imaging services as part of their clinical training. Qualifications & Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience. Preferred: No specific preference indicated. Certifications & Licensing Active BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification. Current State Radiologic Technologist License. ARRT (R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Preferred: ARRT (VI) Certification within 18 months of hire. Technical Skills Strong understanding of Human Anatomy and Physiology, Imaging Equipment Operation, Patient Positioning Techniques, Radiation Safety Practices, Infection Control Standards, Image Quality and Quality Assurance Processes.
