Opportunity Overview We have an immediate opening for a Patient Service Representative to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Towson, Maryland. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with occasional weekends and 1 to 2 holidays per year; May occasionally float to our Baltimore Harbor office (infrequent) Compensation: $20 to $23 per hour (commensurate with experience) This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day. In this role, the Patient Service Representative will: Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal financial and insurance information Optimize patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by assessing minimum patient needs and scheduling accordingly Schedule appointments Address customer/patient issues and insure effective short-term and long-term resolution Provide timely feedback to the practice regarding service failures or patient concerns Consult with patients regarding their benefits, coverage and financial options Greet patients and visitors to the office and providing high level of customer service What You'll Bring We're looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experienceindividuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter. Qualifications and skills include: Minimum 2 years of applicable work experience High School diploma required Extensive knowledge of insurance/benefits, medical terminology and medical billing Experience working in an OB/GYN office is a plus Strong communication skills, independent worker, detailed-oriented, computer savvy High level of customer service essential More important than any single credential, however, is the right person.
