Location:  Pittsburgh, PA
Pay: $55,000 - $75,000
Job Type:  Full-Time

About the Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Controller for a nonprofit organization in the Pittsburgh area. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Oversee the general ledger and month-end close process
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Coordinate audits and tax filings
• Implement process improvements and automation initiatives
• Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy
• Present financial information to leadership and stakeholders
• Mentor and develop accounting staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 7-10+ years of accounting and finance experience
• Prior leadership or management experience required
• Minimum 5 years of nonprofit accounting experience
• Minimum 3 years of nonprofit Controller experience
