At Connell Equipment Leasing Company (CELCO), we’re looking for an experienced Forklift Mechanic with hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing forklifts and material-handling equipment.

You’ll work directly with our forklift and equipment fleet, diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and completing repairs that keep our equipment safe, reliable, and ready to perform.

We’re looking for someone who knows forklifts and understands how they work. You can listen to what a machine is doing, troubleshoot the issue, determine what needs attention, and make the right repair. You bring strong mechanical judgment, work safely, and take pride in fixing things correctly.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts and material-handling equipment to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and ready for operation.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other equipment issues and determine the appropriate repair.
• Perform preventative maintenance and identify wear, damage, or developing problems before they lead to equipment failure or unnecessary downtime.
• Complete repairs thoroughly and efficiently, testing equipment and confirming it is operating safely before returning it to service.
• Use your forklift and equipment experience to troubleshoot problems independently and determine the best course of action.
• Communicate equipment concerns, repair needs, parts requirements, and recommendations clearly to the CELCO team.
• Help determine when equipment requires additional parts, specialized service, or further repair.
• Follow established safety procedures and properly use tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair information as required.
• Keep tools, parts, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and ready for the next job.
• Help minimize equipment downtime by staying ahead of maintenance needs and following repairs through to completion.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on professional experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing forklifts or material-handling equipment.
• 5+ years of mechanical, equipment, industrial maintenance, or related repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the physical requirements of a hands-on equipment maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems found in forklifts and related equipment.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and diagnostic ability, with the judgment to identify problems and determine appropriate repairs.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and recognizing equipment wear, damage, and potential failures.
• Strong mechanical instincts and the ability to work through equipment problems independently.
• A safety-first approach and sound judgment about when equipment is ready to return to service.
• High standards for workmanship, accuracy, and equipment care.
• Ability to prioritize repairs, communicate equipment concerns clearly, and work effectively with the CELCO team.
