Registered Nurse (RN)Shift Information32-Hour Evening Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, 4 shifts per week, every other weekend, and every other holiday.Minimum ExperienceLess than 1 year is preferred.Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) will provide patient care in accordance with established standards, protocols, and policies. The RN will respect the individual needs of each patient and foster a sense of dignity.Essential FunctionsDeliver patient care based on standards of care and practice.Provide patient and family education based on identified needs and learning readiness.Collaboratively prepare patients and families for discharge, incorporating necessary support systems.Delegate and supervise nursing interventions performed by others appropriately.Prioritize patient care and seek assistance as needed, especially in emergency situations.Document timely and accurately all relevant data, therapeutic interventions, and patient responses.Facilitate thorough communication during patient report to ensure continuity of care.Promote learning among colleagues and engage in professional development.Identify and report risks to patient safety and opportunities for error reduction.Address ethical issues relevant to patient care and develop plans accordingly.Administer medications and intravenous therapy safely, following established protocols.Assess and document patient pain levels and treatment effectiveness.Monitor cardiac rates, rhythms, and respond to critical situations with appropriate interventions.Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds for coordinated patient care planning.Recognize and report significant changes in laboratory and diagnostic results to physicians.Ensure ongoing assessment and teaching of surgical patients and their families.Utilize pain management devices and techniques to ensure proper pain relief.Set up and maintain surgical patient-related equipment.RequirementsEducationGraduate of an accredited school of nursing.MOAB class completion required within 60 days of hire.ExperiencePreference for 1 year of medical-surgical experience.Previous telemetry experience is a requirement.Licenses and CertificationsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.ACLS certification upon hire.Client Details City Gardner State MA
