About the Role 

We’re seeking a Multimedia Specialist to join the Card Communications team who will be responsible for delivering best-in-class videos and design graphics which help us tell the Card story. These creative elements will be featured in both local and Card-wide communication vehicles and will cover some of our most important moments that matter throughout the year. You’ll inform and engage associates across the organization, helping them stay connected to our business priorities and feel engaged as part of our inclusive culture. 

You’ll partner closely with key stakeholders to uncover compelling story ideas, use strong creative judgement to consult on the most effective ways to bring those stories to life, deeply understand our associates’ preferences by analyzing performance data and generating actionable insights, and manage the entire end-to-end video production process from scripting and preparation to filming and editing. We’re looking for someone who can partner with communicators to shape creative strategies and concepts for executive and associate storytelling, capture and edit content into polished pieces, and bring fresh thinking to how we use multimedia and creative design to keep associates inspired and informed.

On any given day, you will: 

Creative Strategy & Consulting 

● Partner with communications and business stakeholders to understand objectives, audience needs and creative opportunities, translating them into compelling multimedia and visual storytelling strategies. 

● Consult on the right creative approach for each request, using judgment to recommend, reshape or challenge solutions based on business priorities, audience needs, channel strategy and creative best practices. 

● Develop and present creative concepts to communications and business stakeholders, influencing toward solutions that balance creativity, business needs, brand standards and associate experience.

Multimedia Production & Execution 

● Lead end-to-end creative design and delivery of high visibility visual content, translating communications needs into compelling graphic design, digital assets, presentations, templates and other creative solutions. 

● Prepare and manage video and audio shoots, coaching executives and other participants in real time to help them show up authentically and effectively on camera. 

● Manage external creative and production partners, determining when vendor support is appropriate and providing clear direction to ensure quality, timelines and budget expectations are met. 

Measurement & Continuous Improvement 

● Analyze multimedia performance metrics, audience behaviors and feedback to identify what is working, where opportunities exist and how future creative approaches should evolve. 

● Synthesize data and insights into clear recommendations and visualizations that help partners and leaders understand creative performance and make informed decisions. ● Establish and evolve meaningful measures of success for multimedia content, using results to continuously improve creative strategy, execution and audience impact. 

Creative Leadership & Business Acumen 

● Ensure multimedia and visual assets meet a high bar for quality, accessibility, brand consistency and effectiveness across channels. 

● Develop a deep understanding of Card business strategy, leaders and communications priorities, proactively identifying storytelling opportunities and sharing creative expertise and best practices across the team.

Basic Qualifications: 

● High school diploma, GED or equivalent certification 

● At least 3-5 years experience in video and graphic design production in corporate, agency or production firm environment 

● At least 2 years experience with in person and remote video/audio concept development and production 

● At least two years of experience in the Adobe suite including video/audio editing using Premiere Pro, After Effects or Adobe Audition 

Preferred Qualifications: 

● A strong portfolio showcasing video/audio work 

● Must be comfortable working in a corporate environment and able to work quickly under tight deadlines

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $108,900 - $124,300 for Principal Communications Assoc

Richmond, VA: $98,900 - $112,900 for Principal Communications Assoc

Wilmington, DE: $98,900 - $112,900 for Principal Communications Assoc

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
