Job Description NEED PHYSICIANS FOR 40 HOURS/WEEK FLOATING CLINIC TO CLINIC IN THE ORLANDO AREA! ASAP! STARTING TOMORROW IF POSSIBLE (6/19/2014)! Please read the description below! This is a Per Diem position for the summer. Permanent placement can be discussed as well. Responsibilities Provide a turn‑key operation wherein the physician fulfills the physician‑required elements of a weight‑loss program pursuant to company processes that have been set in place over the past 25 years. The processes include the physician‑patient component and ordering, inventorying, prescribing and dispensing the medications utilized by the company. Meet with each new patient and perform a chart review after the history and vitals have been taken and recorded by the staff. A blood sample is extracted by the staff and reviewed by the physician for contraindications. Conduct patient approval focused on the patient’s medical capacity to participate in all or a portion of the weight‑loss program. See 12–18 new patients a week, spread over a 5‑day M–F schedule, and handle returning patients as required. Manage ordering, inventorying, storing and dispensing of medications under the physician’s DEA and dispensing license; the company will assist if the physician does not yet hold a dispensing license. Operate within a clinical space and staff that are operated separately from the physician’s own clinic, maintaining the physician’s staff and space. Spend 2–4 hours a week fulfilling duties. New patient visits last 1.5–2 hours. Scheduling freedom is provided; the physician schedules patients during the provided calendar. Hours of operation are generally 3 days a week from 7am to 4pm, one day a week from 7am to 7pm, and on Friday from 7am to 12 noon. Receive a set monthly payment under an independent consultant agreement, which may increase with patient volume. Qualifications Must have a practice space contiguous with the clinical space via a connecting doorway. Must hold a DEA license and a dispensing license; the company will assist in obtaining a dispensing license if not already possessed. Willingness to see 12–18 new patients per week and manage returning patients. Experience in weight‑loss medicine and providing consults under a structured protocol.
