Food Operations Manager 1

Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager to support dining and retail operations at East Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas . This position is ideal for an experienced food service leader with a strong background in residential dining, retail food operations, and customer service in a high‑volume environment. What You’ll Do Lead daily operations across residential dining and retail food venues, ensuring efficient execution and exceptional customer service. Supervise, train, and develop frontline staff to foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement. Support catering operations and special events, ensuring successful planning and execution. Manage labor scheduling, productivity, and staffing to meet operational needs. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and Sodexo standards. Assist with inventory management, cost controls, and operational reporting. Partner with culinary and campus leadership teams to support dining programs and enhance the overall guest experience. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop diverse teams. Knowledge of retail food concepts, customer service best practices, and operational excellence. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on service and quality. Proficiency with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance standards. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement – Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum Management Experience – 2 years.
