Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner - Emergency Department - PRN

Job Summary The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) provides compassionate, non-judgmental care to sexual assault victims, including medical-forensic exams, prophylaxis, photographic documentation, and referrals for follow-up and legal proceedings. Responsibilities Perform timely assessments and forensic examinations on sexual assault victims. Document findings through photographic and written reports. Coordinate medical, psychological, and legal support services. Ensure compliance with protocols and maintain accurate records. Participate in on-call rotations, providing coverage as needed. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Valid Texas RN license and current SANE certification or in-progress with certification obtained within 6 months. Current TNCC certification or in-progress with certification within 6 months. Two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care experience preferred.
