This responsibility includes everything in the manufacturing value-chain, including, but not limited to, Design for Manufacturability work, tool design & selection, process creation & optimization, vendor sourcing & interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the hardware that the Manufacturing Engineer owns.What You'll DoIndependently perform trade studies, designs, and generate solutions for approvalExecute the procurement of hardware as necessary to implement solutionsTest, verify, and demonstrate the effectiveness of your solutionsOwn a portion of the manufacturing value chain for a certain product or set of productsWork with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building prototype hardwareDevelop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of Anduril ProductsDevelop process flows, breaking down large, complex assemblies into sub-parts and processes and building out their production lines.Write documentation required for successfully manufacturing their hardware at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements, etc.Contribute to end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects, board fabrication and inspection, etcRequired QualificationsMust be pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Able to start full time in 2027.A genuine interest in manufacturing and desire to learnU.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access Controlled Unclassified Information.Preferred QualificationsInternships or school related experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing relatedPCBA fabrication experience including prior work with or setup/modification/monitoring SMT processesPersonal experience physically manufacturing hardware via any means (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.) including work on personal or extracurricular projects.Software scripting experience in any languageFamiliarity with CAD software, Manufacturing Execution systems, and ERP/MRP systemUS Salary Range $86,000 —$114,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
