Obstetrician/Gynecologist Hospitalist

Obstetrix of California, part of a leading maternal-fetal medicineled hospitalist program, is actively seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB-GYN physician to join its dynamic OB Hospitalist team at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, Californiaoffering a high-acuity, collaborative, and supportive clinical environment within Silicon Valley's premier healthcare setting, featuring advanced neonatal and anesthesia support and a strong emphasis on maternal-fetal care excellence.

Job Description:

• Provide 24-hour in-house OB Hospitalist coverage within a Maternal-Fetal Medicineled practice
• Manage OB triage for unassigned patients and private physician requests
• Respond to and manage MFM patient transports (approx. 56 per month)
• Assist in cesarean sections (03 cases on average; assist in 12 cases)
• Conduct inpatient rounding, including postpartum patients
• Participate in shared rounding of antepartum patients alongside Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
• Perform gynecologic emergency department evaluations for unassigned patients
• Coordinate care within a high-acuity obstetric setting supported by:
• Level III NICU
• 24-hour dedicated Anesthesiology coverage for Labor & Delivery
• 24-hour Neonatology coverage
• 24-hour Pediatric Hospitalist coverage
• Work alongside a separate on-call GYN surgical service for gynecologic surgical management
• Deliver comprehensive obstetric hospitalist care in a high-volume, multidisciplinary hospital environment

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required. Not accepting Locums candidates. Not accepting visa candidates.

Compensation and Benefits:

This opportunity offers a highly competitive and rewarding compensation structure designed to reflect expertise, commitment, and flexibility:

• Base Salary Options: $296,400 (0.71 FTE) + bonus incentive program
• $328,320 (0.780 FTE) + bonus incentive program
• Additional Pay: $190/hour for extra clinical hours
