Join us.Job DescriptionJoin AECOM's dynamic tunneling team as a Senior Tunnel Manager / Regional Tunnel Practice Leader in Dallas, TX, Oakland, Ca, Sacramento, CA, or Seattle, WA. We are seeking an accomplished professional to lead complex tunneling projects and contribute to the growth of our internationally recognized tunneling practice. This role offers exceptional opportunities for technical leadership, client engagement, and career advancement within one of the world's leading infrastructure consulting firms. The position may be based in one of our major U.S. offices and offers a hybrid work model.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Project Leadership & Technical ExcellenceLead and manage multidisciplinary teams on large, complex tunneling projects from concept through completionOversee project delivery, ensuring quality, safety, budget, and schedule objectives are metCollaborate with other AECOM business units to deliver integrated solutionsDrive innovation and best practices across our tunneling portfolioTechnical ProficiencyAdvanced knowledge of tunnel construction methods and support system designs: TBM, drill and blast, sequential excavation, etc.Experience leading teams using industry-standard analysis and design methodology and software toolsExperience planning and directing field investigations, engineering analyses, deliverable preparation and packaging, and field construction phase servicesBusiness Development & Client RelationsBuild and maintain strategic client relationships that fuel our practice growthIdentify new business opportunities and contribute to proposal development and business development initiativesRepresent AECOM at industry conferences and technical forums to enhance our market presenceTeam Development & MentorshipMentor and develop talent within our tunneling teamParticipate in recruiting efforts to attract top-tier professionalsContribute to our collaborative, learning-focused cultureIndustry LeadershipAuthor and present technical papers at leading industry conferencesStay at the forefront of tunneling technology and methodologiesSupport cross-regional and international project teams on complex assignmentsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.Professional Engineer (PE) license.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in engineering or related discipline.15+ years of experience in engineering of large-scale tunneling and underground infrastructure projects.Proven experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.Strong client relationship and business development skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Geotechnical or Structural Engineering license.Experience with design-build or alternative delivery methods.Experience with international tunneling standards and practices.Active engagement in professional organizations.Published technical papers in tunneling or related fields.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Relocation not offered with this opportunityAECOM does not offer U.S. work sponsorship or sponsorship transfer with this opportunityAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
