Help Desk Intern

Job Summary The Help Desk Intern will learn how to deliver supreme customer service while supporting BHG’s Corporate and Field team members and treatment centers. The position will provide exposure to the following computer disciplines: Service Desk, Desktop Software Support, Computer Operations, and others. Duties and Responsibilities Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems. Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support. Organize and maintain IT resources. Lend IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, analytics, and data center management. Regulatory Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulatory bodies, and accrediting agencies. Participate in community and public relations activities as assigned. Demonstrates belief that addiction is a brain disease, not a moral failing. Demonstrates hope, respect, and caring in all interactions. Establishes and maintains positive relationships in the workplace. Can work independently and under pressure while handling multiple tasks. Minimum Requirements The Help Desk Intern must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and be currently enrolled in a degree program closely related to the field. A basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems is required. Qualifications Education and licensing in a closely related field. Currently enrolled in a degree program in a closely related field preferred. Self-starter with good time management and prioritization skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, presentation, and analytical skills. Knowledge of IT systems, software, and procedures. Problem solving skills, independently or escalating if necessary. Handle multiple tasks on a day-to-day basis if necessary. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. Ability to sit for long periods of time, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Variable workload, periodic high stress, and activity level. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Keyboarding for long periods of time.
