Value Stream Leader

Job Details Job Location: ST LOUIS, MO 63146 Job Summary The purpose of this position is to lead the value stream(s) in the production environment of ECS. The primary objective of this role is to maximize company resources while supporting customers through product assembly and on-time shipments. This position will work on a variety of continuous improvement projects to help the facility improve operations. The Value Stream Leader has direct reports and reports to the Director of Production. Supervisory Responsibilities Assembly Leads & Technicians Duties and Responsibilities Lead production processes through Team Leads Manage hourly resources in production Develop team members to support needs of the business Support ever-changing organization as it grows Interact with Materials group to optimize production scheduling Support development and implementation of material handling processes for facility Work with Materials team to ensure the plant meets all inventory target levels while minimizing shortages Act as primary in scheduling and payroll system for production team Flex resources as need to overcome schedule adversity and maximize on-time delivery Conduct and assist with continuous improvement activities to help production function more efficiently Personally strengthen leadership and skills to support on-going growth of organization Physical Requirements / Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job in the Plant or Warehouse, the employee can be exposed to noise. The noise level is usually moderate. Must have reliable means of transportation to allow flexible work hours as needed. Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb ladders/steps, and sit Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear Frequently required to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods Use a computer keyboard with mouse for long periods of time Occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds Occasionally incur physical demands associated with ground and/or air travel All above could occur in high or low temperatures involving wind and/or precipitation Travel Minimal travel may be required occasionally. Qualifications / Required Skills and Qualifications Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and Outlook Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills. Able to understand complex issues and provide appropriate, effective solutions Strong ability to assemble & analyze data from various systems to get to opportunity/root cause Anticipates internal customer needs accurately and quickly establishes creditability with internal customers Proven success as a team member, collaborating, cross-functionally, and participating in diverse thinking Ability to achieve goals through influencing others Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment Must have the ability to effectively handle multiple tight timeline situations Flexible and a strong willingness to adapt and be an advocate for change Ability to work through multiple obstacles to complete daily tasks Knowledge of how to collect data to effectively negotiate Education and Experience HS Diploma or equivalent - required Five years’ experience in manufacturing/assembly environment – required Engineered Corrosion Solutions, LLC is an equal employment opportunity employer.
