Job Description
Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Schedule

Shift: 3x12 0645-1915 (36 hours per week). On-call required on Sundays from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

Contract length: flexible, current contracts accepted through February 2027. Float required as needed.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CDN or CNN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute hemodialysis experience required, with willingness to support other departments as needed.
• Experience with Fresenius equipment for hemodialysis and Baxter equipment for peritoneal dialysis preferred.
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with end-stage renal disease and chronic kidney disease requiring dialysis.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to any emergencies that arise during treatment.
• Administer medication and adhere to treatment protocols.
• Assist in the management of dialysis equipment and related technologies.
• Participate in unit logistics during fluctuations in dialysis census as needed.

Compliance / Notes

Orientation includes 24 hours: 12 hours offsite or ICU training and 12 hours in the dialysis room.
