Senior Lead Software Engineer, Prime Securities Lending

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus at least 5 years of applied experience.
• Strong experience building enterprise-grade software, including system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices frameworks; proficiency in React and modern UI/UX practices.
• Strong experience with Oracle databases, including schema design and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in object-oriented design and test-driven development, with hands-on experience using test automation frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
• Strong understanding of security standards such as OAuth, TLS, and Kerberos.
• Knowledge of domain-driven design, microservices patterns, and modern architectures.
• Familiarity with logging, metrics, and monitoring tools such as the ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, and Splunk.
• Proficiency with agentic AI coding assistants such as Copilot and Claude.
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Fortify.
• Practical experience with AWS services and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with MQ or Apache Kafka for distributed messaging and event-driven architectures.
• Preferred: experience managing or mentoring technical specialists, familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Provide regular technical guidance to business and technical teams, including contractors and vendors, and keep their work aligned with organizational goals.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code using Core Java, Spring Boot, Oracle, AWS Cloud, React, and MQ or Kafka; review and debug colleagues code to maintain quality and reliability.
• Shape decisions about product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
• Act as a function-wide subject matter expert, particularly in full-stack development and cloud-native solutions.
• Contribute to the engineering community by advocating for firmwide frameworks, tools, and best practices across the software development life cycle.
• Influence peers and project stakeholders to adopt leading-edge technologies and methodologies.
• Maintain application stability and performance by addressing issues proactively and optimizing processes.
