Shift: FT Days (7a-7p) Weekend and Holiday Requirement

As a Registered Nurse on the Intermediate Care Unit at Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center, you'll provide compassionate, high-acuity care to patients who require close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. Your clinical expertise, critical thinking, and ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition will play a vital role in delivering safe, exceptional care.

The Intermediate Care Unit cares for patients who need a higher level of monitoring than a traditional Medical-Surgical unit but do not require intensive care. You'll care for a diverse patient population, including individuals with cardiac conditions, respiratory illnesses, sepsis, stroke, renal disorders, post-procedural recovery, and other complex medical diagnoses requiring continuous cardiac telemetry, frequent assessments, and specialized treatments.

In this fast-paced, collaborative environment, you'll perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications and advanced therapies, monitor cardiac rhythms, educate patients and families, and partner closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to promote the best possible outcomes. What You'll Do

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Education: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. - If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

• Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required.

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. - Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
