The Human Resources Generalist supports daily HR operations for DaBella, serving as a resource for employees and General Managers across multiple locations. This role is responsible for leave of absence administration, employee programs, HR inquiries, reporting, and maintaining employee records.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities independently in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Austin, TX (On-site) Full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $45,000–$55,000 annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage employee leaves of absence from initial request through return to work, including FMLA, state leave laws, and company policies.
• Determine leave eligibility, approve or deny requests, review medical certifications, and ensure required notices and documentation are completed.
• Coordinate with employees, General Managers, Payroll, and Benefits regarding leave status and return-to-work processes.
• Escalate complex leave matters, including ADA accommodations and employee relations concerns, to HR leadership.
• Oversee employee recognition and uniform programs, including ordering, inventory, vendor coordination, and distribution.
• Serve as a point of contact for employees and General Managers, responding to HR inquiries and managing incoming HR tickets.
• Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and information within Workday.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, employment changes, I-9s, and employment verifications.
• Prepare recurring HR reports, including headcount, turnover, and leave activity.
• Review and process HR vendor invoices, coordinating with Accounting as needed.
• Support HR compliance, audits, process improvements, and department initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Human Resources experience , preferably in an HR Generalist or similar role.
• Experience administering employee leaves of absence, including FMLA and state leave laws.
• Working knowledge of HR policies, employment compliance, and employee documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential employee information appropriately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using HR systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience with Workday or a similar HRIS.
• Experience supporting employees across multiple states or locations.
• Experience with HR reporting, employee programs, or vendor management.
• SHRM-CP, PHR, aPHR, or similar certification.
