Assistant Professor of Instruction, College of Nursing

Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, including BSN, accelerated MSN (MIDAS), MSN Education, Forensics, FNP, PMHNP, AGPCNP, and DNP programs, and post‑master’s certificates. Teach both on‑ground courses and online MSN and/or DNP graduate courses, depending on academic preparation. Develop and evaluate curriculum, course content, clinical experiences, test construction, and assessment of students’ learning. Establish effective coordinating relationships with co‑workers and clinical agencies. Participate in nursing scholarly work, professional development, student academic advising, and guidance. Participate in appropriate program, college, and university activities and committees. Qualifications Current and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Ohio or eligibility to be licensed in Ohio. Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field; required for teaching in graduate programs. At least 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse in a specialty area (pediatrics preferred). At least 2 years of teaching experience in an accredited program in a content‑specialty area (preferred). Teaching experience in online instruction (desired). Knowledge of curriculum development, methods of teaching, and evaluation (desired). Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team.
