Anticipated selection process (which may be subject to change): The District reserves the right to utilize a flexible pass point on any test part to meet the staffing needs as determined by the District.

Illustration performance exam: The illustration performance exam portion may have multiple steps which may be administered on different days (100% of total score). Participation in all portions of the examination process is by official invitation only. Candidates who do not participate and successfully pass all parts of the examination process will not be considered for the position.

Position details and duties: Full-time position: Eight (8) hours per day; twelve (12) months per year. Basic function: The job of Gardener is done for the purpose/s of providing grounds maintenance services at assigned site/s; ensuring attractive and safe grounds area/s and athletic fields; protecting against erosion; performing a variety of special grounds maintenance operations; and maintaining grounds for assemblies, events and/or recreational activities. This job reports to Designated Administrator.

Initial/Minimum Qualifications

Initial/Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Six (6) months experience in grounds maintenance work. Any other combination of education, training, and experience, which demonstrates that the applicant is likely to possess the required skills, knowledge, or abilities, may be considered.

Licenses and other requirements: Valid California Class C Driver's License (Photocopy).

Applications without supporting documents will be considered incomplete and may be disqualified from further consideration. All required documents must be submitted by the closing date.

Satisfaction of initial qualifications: You must attach the following documentation(s) to your application upon submission: Valid photocopy of your California Class C Driver's License. Official Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving history record WILL BE REQUIRED UPON OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT. You must go in-person to a DMV office to request your official driving record. This is the ONLY way to obtain this official document. The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving history must be dated within the last thirty (30) days of the employment processing period. A DMV record obtained via the internet or online will NOT be accepted.

The tentative examination process for this position, which may be subject to modification, will include some form of a(n): application screening, initial qualifications screening, supplemental training and experience application screening, documentation(s)/certification(s) screening, written examination, performance examination, illustration examination and/or the oral examination process. Examination Process: Please note that the District reserves the right to add, eliminate or adjust testing steps and/or information on the posting at any time during the position posting and testing process.
