Rubber Materials Engineer – Product Development**Relocation Assistance AvailableOverviewA Bethlehem-based company is in need of a Materials Engineer – Product Development to aid in the creation and launch of products using innovative materials such as thermoplastics, composites, coatings, and alloys. This role encompasses the entire product development process, offering hands-on experience in polymer processing, material development, and product analysis.Duties· Test and assess new materials and products.· Aid in product design through to production.· Develop and assess polymer formulations.· Manage prototyping, testing, and production processes.· Perform various material testing and analysis.· Address design and manufacturing challenges.· Assist in supplier selection and cost evaluations.· Participate in design reviews and prepare technical documents.· Collaborate with various departments and external partners.Requirements· BS in Chemical, Materials, Polymer, or Mechanical Engineering.· 3+ years of experience with Rubber materials, rubber formulation and rubber molding. · Familiarity with thermoplastic and thermoset materials.· Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and FEA software.· Willingness to travel up to 10%.BenefitsThe position offers a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, paid time off, 401(k) matching, life insurance, and relocation assistance.
