Learning and Development Program Operations Manager

Overview 

A global investment and technology development firm is seeking an organized, execution-minded leader to join its Learning & Development (L&D) team as a program operations manager. This role combines people management with hands-on process transformation, supporting both the core L&D function and the firm’s GAI-learning initiatives. The position offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence, foster team development, and enable greater adoption of generative AI across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of L&D coordinators by setting priorities, delegating responsibilities, providing feedback, and supporting professional growth.
• Serve as a partner to the GAI-learning team: operationally supporting the delivery of its initiatives end-to-end, ensuring stakeholders have the resources they need, and handling session logistics.
• Partner with L&D colleagues to reimagine how the team operates: identifying manual, time-intensive processes and redesigning them to be more efficient, scalable, automated, and AI-supported.
• Drive the practical adoption of generative AI across the team’s workflows, translating new tools into real gains in efficiency and quality.
• Keep complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives on track: anticipating risks and dependencies and communicating clearly with senior stakeholders throughout.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree and at least seven years of experience in project or program management, operations, or a related field, with a demonstrated record of driving process improvement in complex, fast-paced environments.
• A keen understanding of generative AI concepts and tools, genuine interest in current advancements, and a track record of helping others adopt AI in practical, effective ways.
• Experience managing and developing people, with the ability to foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
• Exceptional organizational and project-management skills, with a talent for bringing structure to multi-stakeholder work and moving it from plan to execution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the confidence and relationship-building ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders.
• A collaborative, low-ego, and agile working style, with comfort operating amid ambiguity.
• Learning and development experience is a plus but not required; we welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds.

Additional Information & Company Benefits

The expected annual base salary for this position is $140,000 to $190,000. The compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.
