Cleveland Clinic's Imaging team is continuously working to provide patients with the most up-to-date technological advances and innovative treatment options in diagnostic imaging. As an RN on this team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses and other staff to offer exceptional support and attention to all patients within the unit. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology, offering a wealth of applicable nursing knowledge. This role involves working throughout the main campus across all imaging modalitiesnot limited to a single unitwith weekly rotations, primarily in CT, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine.

A caregiver in this position works 4 -10's with variable start times between 6am - 7:30am with on-call and weekend requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services in a variety of healthcare settings.
• Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
• Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
• Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
• Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team.
• Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning.
• Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care.
• Educate patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles in the department.
• Maintain core competencies in nursing including CPR and skills labs.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• One year of recent experience as an RN
• If in an ED, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Two years of recent experience as an RN
• One year of critical care experience in a hospital setting preferred
• In areas operating with Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC Lines), Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI ) or Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) certification is preferred within three years of hire.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
• Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
