Description: This position consists of four 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with on-call requirements including weekends and holidays. The unit provides 24/7 call coverage, averaging 12-14 days in a 42-day period. Patient ratios are 1:6. First-timers accepted. Weekend requirements alternate every other weekend. On-call requirements include one weekend and 5-6 weekdays in a four-week period. The clinician may float within their scope to meet facility needs. Open to accommodating block schedules at management's discretion. Local candidates are accepted. The unit performs between 12-18 cases a day, circulating and monitoring. This is a high-volume, high-acuity Cath Lab unit that takes STEMI calls. It is a team-oriented and hardworking group. There are three renovated labs, performing between 4 - 7 cases each per day. Special procedures include TAVRs, Watchman, cardiomems, carotids, Impella, CTO, peripherals, TEVARs/EVARs, and STEMI. Staffing consists of three-person teams for each lab, which include Technicians and RNs. RNs are responsible for scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring, while Technicians scrub and monitor cases. The lab is equipped with newly upgraded Philips rooms, Medrad, and manifold for injections. Documentation is done using XPER and EPIC systems. Skills needed include placement and management of various cardiac interventions and monitoring.
