Cardiac Surgery Surgical Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist specializing in cardiac surgery. The candidate will be responsible for scrub and circulate duties within the operating room, particularly in cardiac procedures. The role may also involve floating to other surgical services as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiac surgery procedures including CABGs, Aortic and Mitral valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVAD placements.
• Scrub and circulate in the operating room, ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are ready and sterile.
• Float to other surgical services such as General, Urology, and ENT as necessary, typically averaging once per week.
• Participate in on-call rotations to cover weekend surgery requirements.

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Cardiac surgery experience required, including specific procedures such as CABGs and valve repairs.
• Vascular and Thoracic surgery experience is preferred.
• Active PA or compact state license at the time of submission.
• Ability to scrub and circulate in cardiac surgeries.
