Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for a patient group on the Med Surg unit using the nursing process and established standards of care.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications within scope, perform accurate assessments, and document care and responses.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and assistive personnel as appropriate; ensure safe, efficient unit operations.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance; communicate patient needs and changes promptly.
- If assigned to Float Pool duties on the unit, follow unit policy for clocking in and clocking out; participation may include education and non-productive activities.

Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license (unrestricted)
- Med Surg nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (days) and 36 hours per week
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
