The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at our organization is excited to announce a unique opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible physician to join a well-established team of sleep specialists and nurse practitioners. The ideal candidate will possess fellowship training in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. This position offers a chance to be part of a distinguished academic team dedicated to all facets of sleep medicine, supported by three accredited adult sleep centers.

Job Overview

• Become a member of a collaborative group of pulmonary and critical care physicians, including seven dedicated sleep specialists and four advanced practice providers.

• Engage in 5 to 6 half-day office sessions primarily focused on adult sleep patients.

• Inpatient responsibilities will involve working across one of seven services within the division, including the intensive care unit at one of the two teaching hospitals, the respiratory intermediate care unit, pulmonary consult services at the two affiliated hospitals, and critical care consultations at Rhode Island Hospital.

• Address a wide range of sleep disorders, with opportunities for subspecialization.

• Participate in specialty sleep clinics that cover areas such as sleep during pregnancy, hypoglossal nerve stimulation, obesity hypoventilation assessment and treatment, and sleep apnea related to cardiovascular issues and atrial fibrillation.

• Inpatient call is expected to be 8-10 weekends annually, with outpatient call distributed fairly among the team.

• Engagement in research activities is encouraged.

• Academic appointment at Brown University is available.

• Eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.

Candidate Profile

• Must be board certified or board eligible in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.
