RN Acute Care Neurosciences

Location UCHealth Anschutz Inner Pavilion, Aurora, CO Department Neurosciences Schedule Full Time, 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift Day and Night Rotation Pay $35.29 - $54.71 per hour, depending on experience Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited or state board‑approved Registered/Professional Nursing program (or with less than 3 years’ experience). Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent. Minimum 6 months of RN experience. Credentials Registered Nurse Basic Life Support (BLS) – BLS through AHA or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuer with card in hand before start date; must be current within 60 days of hire. Responsibilities Provide top‑of‑scope practice in direct patient care using the nursing process. Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. Prioritize wellness, patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice. Model proficiency through precepting new team members. Welcome new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care. Acute Care Focus Direct care includes specialty acute care (Med‑Surg) units of moderate to high patient acuity. Utilize AMSN’s core curriculum and specialty certification standards in evidence‑based care models for each unit. Work with Clinical Educators who support and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout orientation.
