What You'll Do

• Provide routine and complex postoperative care for PACU patients
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and respond to emergencies
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, observing for side effects
• Document patient history, care provided, and response to treatments
• Educate patients and families about recovery processes and post-discharge instructions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate independent practice within ANA standards and hospital protocols

What You Need

Required:

• Valid RN license in Texas or an active compact license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in perioperative or critical care nursing
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts and adapt to unit needs

Preferred:

• Critical Care, PreOp, EPIC experience
• Experience working with general, ortho, urology, ENT, cath lab, ENDO, GYN, PEDS; no neuro or cardio
