Project Manager

Location: St. Paul, MN (Hybrid) Position Type: Full-Time Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 annually Position Summary 106 Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee consulting projects related to Cultural Resource Management (CRM), Cultural Heritage Planning (CHP), and Interpretation & Exhibit Design (IED). Working with government agencies, corporations, tribal partners, and community organizations nationwide, this role manages projects from startup through closeout while ensuring schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations are successfully met. The Project Manager will also contribute to company-wide process improvement initiatives and help strengthen organizational systems. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful cultural and environmental projects while collaborating with a nationally recognized consulting team. Key Responsibilities Manage CRM, CHP, and IED projects throughout the full project lifecycle. Coordinate project startup, scheduling, status reporting, deliverables, modifications, and closeout activities. Monitor project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Collaborate with contract managers, team managers, and leadership to ensure project success. Develop and modify contracts as needed in partnership with business and contract managers. Track project progress and provide regular status updates and reports. Communicate with clients to establish project goals and ensure expectations are met. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Identify new business opportunities and support organizational growth. Train Project Managers and Project Coordinators on established company processes. Assist with developing and managing internal company processes and initiatives. Contribute to a culture of teamwork, service, and excellence. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 3 years of project management experience. Knowledge of project management methodologies, planning, execution, and evaluation processes. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and current workplace technologies. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment. Reliable internet connection for remote work. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Experience in cultural resource management, cultural heritage planning, interpretation, exhibit design, or environmental consulting. Knowledge of environmental laws and regulatory processes. Experience with Section 106 compliance or architectural preservation. GIS, AI, or data management experience. Proposal development, marketing, and project scoping experience. Proficiency in languages other than English. Supervisory, management, or business development experience.
