Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Colorado

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3-12 hour Night shifts, including Weekends

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in the emergency room. The RN will triage each patient and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the emergency care system. Time management is crucial in this role.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and assess chief complaints in a timely manner.
• Administer medications and perform focused assessments according to established guidelines.
• Move patients as necessary and obtain blood samples.
• Clean and bandage wounds, and maintain proper supplies.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures within the Nurse Practice Act.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be currently licensed to practice as an RN in the State of Colorado.
• At least two years of experience in critical care nursing preferred.
• Specialty certification for relevant areas preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire.
• TNCC required upon hire or within 1 year.
• ENPC or PALS required within 6 months; ENPC preferred.
