Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule

3-12 hour Night shifts - Weekends

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements

• Current license to practice as an R.N. in the state
• At least two years of experience in critical care nursing preferred
• Specialty certification for specialty areas preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire
• TNCC required upon hire or within 1 year
• ENPC or PALS required within 6 months; ENPC preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in the emergency room
• Triage each patient and determine priority of care based on needs
• Responsible for moving patients, taking blood samples, cleaning and bandaging wounds, administering medications, and maintaining proper supplies
• Perform focused assessment of chief complaints of each patient according to established triage guidelines
• Carry out patient care according to hospital policies and procedures within the limitations of the Nurse Practice Act
