Join Our Dynamic Surgical Team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - General Surgery

What You ll Do:

• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, Urology, and ENT.
• Support surgical teams by preparing patients, assisting during operations, and managing post-operative care.
• Contribute to a busy surgical practice performing approximately 90-110 scheduled, non-urgent cases weekly.
• Work closely with surgeons, scrub techs, circulating RNs, and CRNAs to ensure seamless operative procedures.
• Engage in patient care within the operating room while adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Required Skills:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license with current certification.
• Experience in surgical settings, preferably with General Surgery or related specialties.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to assist in diverse surgical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases effectively.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience with Orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, Urology, or ENT procedures.
• Certification(s) in Advanced Practice Nursing or Surgical Assist competencies.
• Familiarity with hospital-based surgical workflows and electronic medical records.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS, PA-C certification).
• At least 1-3 years of surgical assisting experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Flexibility to work scheduled hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with potential rotating weekends.
• Ability to assist during surgeries scheduled outside regular hours occasionally.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with a daily case load of 10-30 cases.
• Compliance with all licensure, certification, and hospital credentials.
