Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our esteemed surgical team in Atlanta, GA . In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive care to surgical patients, assisting in pre-operative assessments, intraoperative support, and postoperative management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations, including history and physical examinations, to assess patient readiness for surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for surgical patients.
• Assist in surgical procedures as needed, providing direct patient care and ensuring a safe surgical environment.
• Monitor patients during the postoperative period, manage pain, assess surgical sites, and address any complications.
• Provide patient education regarding surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and post-operative care instructions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions to enhance patient care and improve surgical outcomes.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.

Qualifications:

• Active NP license in the state of Georgia
• 1 to 2 years of general surgery experience (preferred)
• Active DEA
