System Administrator

Position Overview: The System Administrator is a hybrid remote/in-office position primarily responsible for configuring, deploying and maintaining RHEL virtual servers and virtualization technologies within a DoD environment. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, implementing security measures, and supporting end users to ensure the organization's IT infrastructure runs efficiently and securely. Job Duties: Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers, operating systems, and applications Managing and maintaining the virtual environment within VMware product line Monitor system performance and ensure the availability and reliability of IT infrastructure Perform routine system maintenance, including patches, updates, and backups Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory or other identity management platforms Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely support to end users Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Maintain Cyber Security standards and requirements within RHEL and virtualization technologies Assist with planning and executing system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments Collaborate with IT team members and vendors to resolve complex technical issues Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology OR 4 years of equivalent work experience. Strong knowledge of RHEL operating systems. Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, etc.) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) a plus Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) Understanding of cybersecurity best practices Scripting skills (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python) preferred Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills Familiarity with DISA STIGs and federal security compliance standards Requirements to Start: A fully adjudicated DOD Secret clearance is required to Start An IAT Level II Certification, such as CompTIA Security+ce, is required to Start Company Description Dexian Government Solutions is an award‑winning, ISO 9001:2015 certified, business and GSA contract holder providing diversified Information Technology services to both Civilian and Defense agencies.
