Recovery Support Specialist

As a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) at Recovery Centers of America (RCA ) , you will be an integral part of the patient care team, providing direct support to individuals in treatment for substance use disorders. Your role is vital in ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment where patients can focus on their recovery journey . What You'll Do As a Recovery Support Specialist at RCA, you will: Monitor patient activities, provides safety checks throughout shift, completes documentation to include but not limited to, rounds sheet, End of Shift reports; records patient behavior . Participate in direct patient care including ensuring patient safety, interacting therapeutically . Assists in the activities of patients daily schedule . Partner with Clinical staff to conduct a welcoming New Patient Orientation Aid and instruct patients in facilitation and presentation of the RCA Clinical Curriculum with corresponding notes in medical records system . Understand the principles of 12-Step Programs and how they apply to the recovery process. What We're Looking For A high school diploma or equivalent required . One year of experience in addiction services or behavioral health preferred but not required . Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment .
