Job Title: Picker and Packer

Location: Buford

Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Job Overview:
We are seeking motivated and reliable Pickers and Packers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our warehousing operations by ensuring that our products are accurately picked, securely packed, and efficiently shipped to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Packaging & Protection:
  Securely pack sensitive electronic units using customized palletizing techniques for odd-shaped items. Hand wrap pallets to prevent damage during transit.
• Order Fulfillment:
  Efficiently pull industrial components and parts from inventory according to order slips and digital systems, ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.
• Quality Control:
  Conduct thorough inspections of all units before packing and shipping to guarantee compliance with quality standards and alignment with customer orders.
• Documentation:
  Accurately mark and label containers and maintain detailed records of shipping and order information using systems such as SAP Business One or Excel.
• Equipment Operation:
  Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, or reach type) and other warehouse equipment to transport and load materials as needed.
• Maintenance:
  Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring packing stations comply with OSHA safety guidelines and standards.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  High school diploma or GED equivalent is typically required.
• Physical Ability:
  Must be capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and performing physical labor, including standing, walking, and bending throughout the entire shift.
• Experience:
  Previous warehouse experience is essential.
• Technical Skills:
  Familiarity with basic computer operations, scanning devices, and an understanding of shipping services (FedEx, UPS, Saia) is advantageous.
• Safety Gear:
  Compliance with safety protocols is mandatory; candidates must wear personal protective equipment (PPE), specifically steel-toed boots/shoes.
