Database Administrator

Our Client is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support the Ontario Science Centre's IT environment, with a strong focus on SQL Server database administration, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Salesforce CRM, reporting, integrations, and Microsoft cloud technologies.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience managing databases across both on-premises and Azure environments, supporting finance and CRM applications, and working with Microsoft-based application and collaboration platforms.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with database administration across on-premises and Azure cloud environments
- Senior-level SQL Server DBA experience, including database maintenance, management, optimization, performance tuning, backup, recovery, capacity planning, installation, and migration
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP)
- Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics GP within finance and accounting environments
- Hands-on Salesforce CRM experience
- Strong experience with Microsoft Business Central and finance system concepts
- Experience with SQL reporting tools, particularly SQL Report Builder
- Experience supporting and developing applications in Microsoft cloud environments
- Experience with .NET MVC, MS SQL, Team Foundation Server, and SharePoint
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and development, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Power Apps, and Power Platform
- Experience supporting SaaS and ticketing applications such as Shopify and Siriusware
- Experience supporting public websites using Microsoft-based Content Management Systems such as Umbraco
- Experience integrating third-party APIs with Microsoft web applications and technologies
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain physical database structures and administer enterprise DBMS environments
- Manage database optimization, performance tuning, capacity planning, installation, migration, backup, and recovery
- Administer and support SQL Server databases across on-premises and Azure environments
- Manage the day-to-day operation of Microsoft Dynamics GP and collaborate closely with Finance teams
- Support Salesforce CRM administration, integrations, and business processes
- Develop and maintain operational and management reports using SQL Report Builder
- Support Microsoft-based business applications, websites, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, and related SaaS solutions
- Troubleshoot application, database, integration, and reporting issues across the technology environment
- Support ticketing systems, CRM platforms, reporting solutions, and enterprise integrations
- Provide technical support across Microsoft cloud and on-premises environments
