Job Description

Sign on Bonus Eligible: $30,000 (3 year commitment)

This job performs prescribed radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.

Essential Responsibilities

• Performs all essential job responsibilities of a MRI Technologist, including but not limited to, performing age-specific diagnostic imaging per established protocols. Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, physicians and other team members. Addresses patient and physician concerns. Responds to adverse events and/or any changes with patient's status. (40%)

• Acts as a day-to-day mentor/resource for staff and others within the department. Orients and trains new staff and students. (20%)

• Performs and/or trains others relative to quality assurance activities, quality control, and regulatory testing and accreditation preparation/documentation. (10%)

• Demonstrates proficiency in the performance of specialty exams and analyzes data promptly to resolve problems and improve efficiency. Enter new or edit existing MRI scanner protocols. (10%)

• Participates in standardization activities and process improvement initiatives with system-level workgroups. (10%)

• Coverage of chief tech duties, as assigned. (10%)

• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate's degree in healthcare or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or six months to one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent education and experience.

• 2 years of experience as a registered MRI Technologist experience and/or training or equivalent education and experience.

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) (MR), or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)

• CPR American Heart Association.

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.

• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
