Skilled Nursing Facility Speech & Language Pathology - Schenectady, New York

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current SLP license for New York State
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
• Experience with a school-aged population is a plus
• Skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and document progress accurately

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment results and team input
• Deliver direct therapy in individual and group settings
• Collaborate and consult with educators, families, and other school professionals to optimize student outcomes
• Maintain thorough documentation of services, student progress, and compliance with district and state requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions
• Provide recommendations for classroom strategies and support
