Schedule: 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday. Starting rate $28.00 per hour. Job Summary The Maintenance Technician performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The role supports production by minimizing downtime, completing work orders, and maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. Key Responsibilities Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance on production equipment including mixers, extruders, dryers, etc. Complete preventive maintenance, work orders, and equipment improvement projects via CMMS. Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Troubleshoot equipment, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Communicate effectively with operators and supervisors about equipment conditions and repair needs. Maintain accurate documentation in CMMS. Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance/work areas. Provide guidance to machine operators on proper equipment operation. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic). Knowledge of AC/DC drives, VFDs, servo motors, and control wiring. Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics. Experience troubleshooting PLC inputs/outputs (programming not required). Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, laptops, micrometers, calipers, infrared devices). Experience with common shop equipment and power tools. Basic computer skills: email, Microsoft Office, CMMS. Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork. Preferred Qualifications HVAC experience with process chillers. Electro-Mechanical education, training, or certification. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, and climb stairs. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work in industrial manufacturing environment (noise, heat, mechanical equipment). Additional Information May require overtime, shift work, or on-call availability.
