Job Title: County Nurse ManagerThe Northeast Health District is seeking a dedicated and experienced County Nurse Manager to lead the Jackson County Health Department. This position provides leadership and oversight for clinical operations, public health programs, staff, and administrative functions while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered public health services. The County Nurse Manager collaborates with healthcare providers, community partners, local organizations, and district leadership to assess community health needs, strengthen public health initiatives, and improve the overall health of the community.Work Schedule: Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership, supervision, and support to professional clinical and administrative staff.Plan, implement, manage, and evaluate public health programs and clinical services.Monitor program performance, staffing, budgets, and fiscal processes to ensure efficient operations.Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, clinical standards, and organizational policies.Promote quality assurance and continuous quality improvement initiatives.Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to strengthen public health initiatives.Assess community health needs and collaborate with leadership to develop strategies that improve health outcomes.Participate in emergency preparedness and public health response activities as needed.Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that supports employee development and exceptional customer service.Minimum QualificationsAssociate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; OR Two (2) years of experience at the lower-level PH Registered Nurse Supervisor (HCP193) or position equivalent.Preferred QualificationsPublic Health nursingSupervising professional clinical staffDeveloping and managing budgetsManaging multiple public health programsQuality assurance and continuous quality improvementBuilding and maintaining community partnershipsPlanning and delivering educational presentationsStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAdditional InformationEmployee Benefits:13 paid holidaysGenerous annual and sick leaveHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance optionsState retirement and savings plansOpportunities for continuing education and professional developmentAdditional Support Programs:Physical activity breaksWorksite wellness programEmployee Assistance ProgramsEmployee discountsThe DPH Commissioner and agency leaders encourage all employees to engage in regular wellness activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well-being.
